1. Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using Commuva Articles ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service has the following usage categories:

Browsing: You may browse articles, search, and switch languages without creating an account.
Account Features: To post articles, request translations, leave comments, and use other account features, you must register an account and confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
Users are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping their account details up to date.

Account features of the Service (posting, translation, comments, etc.) are available only to users who are 18 years of age or older.
Age verification is required during account registration, and users under 18 may not create an account.
There is no age restriction for browsing only.

The following activities are prohibited:

Posting content that violates applicable laws
Infringing on the copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other rights of others
Spam, malware distribution, or unauthorized access attempts
Disrupting the normal operation of the Service
Creating accounts with false information
Misusing the AI translation feature (spam generation, prompt injection, generating illegal or harmful content, etc.)

Copyright of user-posted content remains with the user.
Users grant the Service a non-exclusive right to use their content to the extent necessary for providing and operating the Service (including distribution, backup, translation, and display).
Content generated by AI translation is subject to the rights of the original article's copyright holder.
The operator may remove or unpublish content in cases of legal violations, rights infringement, Terms violations, or other operational necessity.

The Service provides automated translation using artificial intelligence (AI).
AI translation results are provided for reference only; accuracy and completeness are not guaranteed.
Do not rely on AI translation results for critical decisions such as medical, legal, or investment matters.
Users are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI translation results before use.

The Service is provided "as is."
The operator shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the operator.
Even where the operator's liability is acknowledged, compensation shall be limited to the amount paid by the user to the Service in the preceding 12 months (zero for free usage).
The above limitations do not apply to the extent prohibited by the Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws.
The Service is not obligated to mediate disputes between users.
The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance or system issues.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Tokyo District Court as the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
